Yay for uhm...putting off homework.

I pretty much just got home, though. In the early afternoon mom took Stephanie and I, and dropped me off at Cambridgeside so that I could use my pretty Border's card. I ended up using it to get the newest Saiyuki and Trigun maximum, as well as my own copy of Cyrano de Burgerac, which I had been looking for. I'm really really annoyed about that though, since I was careful to make sure I got the exact same version that I had gotten out of the library--checked the translator and everything. I thought I had found the same one, but as I started reading it, I realized they must have changed some parts in various editions, because it's not the same. It makes no sense though; why would they change the original translation? I think the other version was better, too-- look here. On like the FIRST PAGE...

(library version)
Doorkeeper (to a briskly entering cavalryman)-
Hey--where's your fifteen sous?
Cavalryman (marching boldy in)-
Royal Household Cavalry!
Doorkeeper (to a briskly entering musketeer)-
Hey--you!
Musketeer (in a silly mock-confiding tone)-
If the cavalry
Gets in free
A musketeer
Gets in freer.

Versus, in the version I have...

Doorkeeper-
Hey--where's your fifteen sous?
Cavalryman-
I get in free.
Doorkeeper-
And why?
Cavalryman-
His Majesty's Household Cavalry.
-
Another man in uniform enters boldy. He is a Musketeer.
-
Doorkeeper-
You-
Musketeer-
I don't pay either.
Doorkeeper-
Now look here-
Musketeer-
You look, friend. See--I'm a musketeer.

Grah! See, the point is the same, but it's really very different. ;_; It makes me sad since I much prefer the former. I'm going to have to stay on the prowl and become more savvy about editions of these things, not just the translator I guess...

Oh well. After that, there wasn't much to do at the mall so I took the shuttle back to Kendall and met up with mom and Stephanie in the pottery studio. It seems that the association is debating whether to change their default type of clay, so mom was playing around with the new kind. She hadn't gotten hardly anything done, and wasn't ready to go. I was prepared to go skating at the Zeizeger center next door but it seems that they had cancelled the Sunday general skate this week. However, it was dusk and the very cold outside, so I was too lazy to take the bus home and decided to wait around until mom was done. I didn't know she wouldn't be done until 10.30. @.@ Ah well--I got to use one of the computers there for a little while, and talk to Stephanie a lot, so it wasn't unbearable. It feels as though a lot of time was wasted, though...I wish mom had brought me home earlier so I could work on the psychology project...the one I'm still currently procrastinating. :D

I really don't want to work right now, even though it's midnight. >.< Laaaazy. It's not helped by the fact that I'm trying to break my mini dependence upon Ibuprofen. I've been taking it a lot, since it seems to stabilize my temperature, but I found out today from mom that it may not be the best idea. Mom told me she can't take Ibuprofen herself since it makes her intestines bleed...and if I'm on a high risk rate for Chrones then maybe my daily ingesting of the drug isn't the wisest course of action. ^^;; Must try to stop, but really...I'm feeling the lack. *shivertwitch*

Too bad; I'll live, providing I get to work on my homework. There are so many other tempting activities to engage in...like practicing Raken on my guitar, or finishing that drawing I started at the studio...or checking out Esperanto news sites...or even finishing reading my lame copy of Cyrano de Burgerac...*sighs* So much life, so little time. I do need to be at least trying to sleep by 3.30 or 4 as well, because getting less than 3 hours of sleep prior to Monday morning portends bad things for the remainder of the week. Mwee. Something tells me I'm a very screwed up individual.

Anyway, I'm going to go get guitaring out of my system and try to focus. Focus-focus. Heh. :D

Love~
