I'm glued to my guitar...
Apr. 9th, 2005 11:07 pmI can't put it down. I'm not even playing anything good, but my fingers keep moving. EVen now. Write three sentences, do a riff, and so on...<.> My parents are getting annoyed I think. I really want to jam with Aaron, even if I suck. He taught me the progression of the song he wrote for me tooooo...and I keep playing it...it's funny how 4 chords can be sooo enchanting, but maybe it's just me who sees them that way. ^^;
I should probably start my homework, but I can't. XD I'm allergic to doing homework on Saturdays...and even moreso on Fridays. I don't want to go to school on Monday...but thank goodness the term ends this week, so I can be absent again without failing. :E
We're starting to learn some kanji in Japanese class! It's totally awesome, we know like...5 so far, and I miraculously remember them! (Well, actually, I remember 5. >> We probably learnt 7 and I forgot 2...or something.) We finally relearnt the first words she really taught us, too...
Yoroshiku onegaishimasu!
English translation not so...straightforward. It's kind of a mix of 'nice to meet you' and an expression of comittment, the comittment of like...knowing the person, in some cases I suppose. Japanese is so weird! XD <3 I love it.
Last night my dad and I watched Awakenings, and it was so saaaad...I started crying at the end and my dad was like >.> you're strange. But it was devastating! I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to see something poignant and depressing.
Today has been so...hectic. I went to my guitar lesson, which was terrible since I spent most of it trying not to faint. *bler* ANd when I returned like 3 people had called... Didn't end up getting together with any of them! *twitch*
I did, however, have a nice outing with my dad--we went to Porter Square, and I got this awesome Japanese guitar magazine *the tabs are in English* :D and a like...Hello Kitty toothbrush, because that's what they were selling and I needed a new toothbrush. It's not Hello Kitty I guess. But it looks like something similar since the toothbrush is for little kids...it's really cute haha. I could never be this enthused about an American toothbrush. :P
From there we walked to Harvard, and found that the foreign bookstore closes at 6 every day except Thursday. :E But that was okay. ^_^ Peggy told me where the pretty Japanese manga store is, and mom says that if Peggy doesn't take us over the vacation, then she will. Yei~ Tokyo Kid's selection of Japanese manga is really lame.
Oh! But in Harvard Square's Newburry Comics they had an AMAZING SELECTION of Dream Theater CDs! I only had enough money to buy one, and I had like 4 to decide between. It was really tough, but I seem to have made a good selection, since I'm already on my second listenthrough of the one I chose...and it's absolutely incredible. I can't believe they're coming to Boston this summer, too...wheeee...
I really should go do some homework or something. Yeah.
Happy Saturday everyone!! :D
