So I finally got Ĝ and other Esperanto letters to work on my keyboard, but it's been an unholy pain. It takes two different programs, and I think in many cases, they may not show up for others even if they do for me. It's really irritating, but I'm happy that I can type things like ŝati and ĉu ne? without having to make it look like c^u ne?

...If those characters aren't showing up for you, this likely makes little sense. XD

Anyway. Yesterday was the diversity festival, which is always fun. I hung with Wen, primarily, and we got to paint pretty calligraphy (at which she rocks and I do not), try lots of random foods, see breakdancers, watch Kelly McManus perform Irish tap dancing, and hear some songs performed by Zach and Seth. They were pretty awesome for a band of 2, and not the most pleasant for listening, but definitely musically prodigious. I got the feeling Aaron would have most certainly been digging it, had he been there--the playing was decidedly prog.

I'm sort of glad I went. I woke up sick enough to stay home, but decided to go anyway since I didn't feel like making tests up after the vacation. So, the way it worked out, I actually made it to school every day that there was school this past week. True, there was a snowday on Monday, and I probably wouldn't have gone Friday were it not for the vacation, but still. Progress, matehs. Sort of.

Scott might be coming for a few days at the end of the week, Katie and I are going to sleepover chill with him, whut. Looking to be a good time, if we can finagle it right. I miss Scottu-kun to deeeath. <3

In terms of it being vacation, I'm sort of torn on motivational lines. The new keyboard capabilities make me really want to learn Polish, since there are so many internet openings for me now and it's rather inspiring. I think I could actually make some decent progress in the language over this week...
But the problem is, once school starts up again, I don't think I'll have the proper time to devote to Polish--not sufficient time to keep it up and retain everything I may have learnt. I don't want to make great progress and then be forced to lose it as was the case with Japanese--that's really frustrating, it's really burnt me out quite a bit on the language. However, at the same time, is it a good thing to ignore such a motivation, when I actually have it? EJ says I should go for it, but I'm a little too wishy washy on it to really dive in fully. Elisabeth had the right idea, honestly. School can be helpful, but the mental and morale restrictions it puts on you frankly suck.

On the other hand, if I don't do anything with Polish, I could always cram more Spanish. Hrrrrm.

I'll think about it later. RIght now, Mark is here and he and mom are discussing interesting things about pottery and glaze design. I half want to go down and eavesdrop, but I think I want to play guitar more. It's sort of funny, since a couple days ago I got these oddly patterened fleece arm warmers that extend up past my knucles and have a thumb hole. They're really warm and perfect for typing/guitaring in cold conditions--but they look sort of like hobo gloves, as my fingers stick out from them. So I feel like I'm a guitarist hobo, it's kinda fun. Haha.

And uh. YEAH.
