Badass Day
Apr. 9th, 2008 07:24 pmSo basically today has been the most hardcore day ever.
I had Japanese and calc, then ran to my final session of service learning with Enriketa, and then straight from there to my Latin American film quiz, which, consequently, I'd stayed up until 7AM studying for. It was basically a whirlwind of classes without stop. Good times.
After that we FINALLY had our bake sale, with SAFELY INDIVIDUALLY WRAPPED ITEMS, and over the course of an hour we raised about $26 for Habitat for Humanity.
We even met the president of the university. He happened to be walking by and Bianca got the attention of the woman who was talking to him, and she told us who he was. He asked all of our majors and what year we were in and shook our hands. Then he pulled out a wad of cash, selected $5 from it, and gave it to us, and said "you take that and you use it."
I think he found the whole thing far more epic than we did, though it was still pretty cool.
I'm mostly just sooo happy today is over, and I hope when tomorrow comes, I can wake up for it.
