arrowwhiskers: (oh help)
Today (at least so far) has been a pretty good day to be me.

The good news, in ascending order, are that classes are finally over! I alllmost made it to every lecture this term...so close -_- And even better, I learnt that I do indeed have exemption from my meteorology final (as professor strongly implied I would), which is OH MY GOD SO GREAT. I was worried about that final, and it was the last one, at 8AM, and wow. I am so happy. Damn.
But the best news of all is that today, I went to the "final review" for aeronautics, and I learnt that the midterm was not curved because the ENTIRE COURSE AVERAGE will be curved such that there is a more fair distribution. THANK GOD. Dear lord douchebag professor did you REALLY have to leave the entire class thinking they were failing for the entire semester before deciding to mention that?? What a dick! But. I feel much less animosity towards him now even so. :D;;

So basically I just need to study my face off for the 4 classes where I DO have finals and unless I fuck up or get sick or sleep through an exam, I should be able to keep my scholarship without going onto probation~ *dances*

The baaaad news is that despite all of this, the next week and a half are going to be epic hell. I made a couple of unfortunately incorrect assumptions while filling out my final exam work schedule, so I got scheduled for OVER 30 HOURS over the exam period. Dang. I was thinking of complaining and trying to get out of it, but now that I've gotten over the shock and horror, the money seems appealing. Plus, with so many people struggling in the recession, I'm complaining about getting *too many* hours? So I will persevere somehow.

So basically my schedule for the next week is...work 4 hours tonight, 6 hours tomorrow, Spanish and writing systems finals on Friday, work 5 hours on Saturday and Sunday each, work 6 hours Monday, Tuesday my LGBT final is due, Wednesday is aeronautics final, Thursday work 6 hours, and Friday work 2 and a half. And then....DONE! Until my winter course starts the following Monday, ahahah.
Ray wants me to go with him to Phoenix that weekend, and while I am loath to turn down an opportunity to go, I think that I need the 2 days of rest. I have not had a free weekend (or, in fact, a free day) since September, and my body aches appreciatively at the prospect. The fact that I am so nearly done with fall classes makes me so happy I can't even express it. Wow.

As a side note, I am also apparently very lucky that my bike wasn't stolen this semester! Bike theft at the U of A is rampant, and I finally today got around to registering my bike with the transportation office. The lady there saw my bike and was like "wow it's a nice one, I'm surprised it hadn't been taken already" Uhm, yay? Registration doesn't really protect that much actually, but it's *something*. I was just amused by her frankness.

I hope winter session is at least half as stress free as I hope it will be...
