So I left West F on Friday afternoon, and just got back now...at 5ish AM on Sunday. And during this time, I have spent an appallingly small amount of time at home.
I'm a bit too tired to note all the details, but basically my travels brought me rock climbing, then subsequently to Elisabeth's house (where we watched various eps of various shows ALL night), after which we walked to Panera at daybreak (walking in the middle of the streets, half hoping to get run down by a particular black van...), and then back home to sleep for a few hours, out to East Boston to see Hugh (and to partake of a dinner party turned momentarily sour by dead fish, but fixed by a trek out to a pizza joint where the trash can was pleasantly maked "GRACIAS")...until around 1, when BEAR OF ALL PEOPLE called me and was like "hey, I'm in a car heading towards Boston, wanna meet up?"
So then after Hugh and Sofia managed to give them crazy directions that actually ended up with Bear and his friend Matt Brown at their house, I was abducted, brought back to Northeastern briefly to get Jeremy and Robin, and then brought out again to find whatever food might happen to be open. THis ended up with us careening towards South Boston to go to the South Street diner, but the sketchy pouring off of that place is so tangible that it managed to turn off most everyong even from our safe vantage point in a car rapidly going by it. We managed, instead, to find a hopping restaurant on the outskirts of Chinatown, where the hosting was done by Boston PD K-9 squaddies and the service was absolutely terrible. (The food, however, was good, and good service can't really be expected at 4AM.)
So yeah. Now I'm back in my room, and it all feels extremely anti-climactic. I haven't slept more than 3 hours in the past few days, and I've been almost constantly on the move, but I don't feel exactly tired. Not the type of tired that is amenable to me hopping into bed.
I'm almost considering doing my calc homework before taking a fucking coma for the next day and a half. Cause it's so going to happen.
Everyone who took part in making my weekend a whirlwind adventure, you rock. I love you all. <3
