Waking up when it isn't necessary is a sort of ascetic experience, and in this modern world of luxury and indulgence, those are rather hard to come by. Particularly so when other people benefit from your getting up when it isn't necessary. Every time I do something like that, I feel like a real person, and that's absolutely priceless. So go for it, I say.
Also, bear in mind that this sanctimonious advice comes from the same person who slept through her one class this afternoon, beginning at half past noon. So, yeah... apply grains of salt liberally as needed ;-)
Don't, Rai. Yeah, helping people is great and all, but you do that already. You've got a schedule you can barely keep up with as is, you were stressing about the work you have to do in your last entry, and you already get sleep deprived and sick, this won't help at all!
Fuck no is too strong, but my answer is more of a "please don't kill yourself."
I would say 'do it' only because that sounds like it would be an incredible experience where you could really make a difference. But as was said above me, don't push yourself farther than you can go (which you are already in risk of doing).
My impression is that you're not inclined to take care of yourself and sleep properly to avoid sickness anyway--or you would have already--so you might as well do it. At least people will be benefiting from your already suicidal (non-)sleeping habits.
Fuck no, you're going to get sleep deprived and stressed out and sick.
But are you going to do it? Hells Yes! (for the reasons listed above, and because optimism and having a conscience causes us to make unwise, but ultimately perhaps, not incorrect decisions in our lives.)
In the end, I think it'll probably turn out to be really rewarding, but I'm not gonna tell you to go out and do something that is going to make you miserable at least part of the time.
Will you love it or hate it? Will you regret it, or be glad you did it? Will this be at all helpful, or am I just rambling? The answer to all of these questions, I believe, is yes.
