May. 8th, 2005 07:54 pmThis weekend has been such a mess. I hate it when it rains on the two days of seven we have free... Been living off of nutrition bars, soy nuts, juiced tea, and the radio.
Haha. On Friday I broke the bonding on my front tooth. It was last repaired maybe 8 or 9 years ago, and I guess I haven't been taking good enough care of it since it seems like it got weakened from the inside. (It's sensitive, so I tended not to brush it as much or as hard as my other teeth. Whoops.) Anyway, now it looks all chipped and I resemble an overgrown hick kid...or something. It's really disgusting, but really funny as well, so it's okay.
On Saturday I went back to Sasuga. Carol couldn't go, and everyone else was taking the SATs, so it was just me and my dad. I paid attention on the way there this time, so I know the route to get there for sure now. Dad seemed impressed by the store, and all the beautiful comics, and he didn't complain even though it must have been boring waiting ages for me to decide what to buy. I still couldn't spot Escaflowne, so I ended up buying the first Hellsing (only to discover it has no furiganas, bleh), as well as the first three volumes of Love Mode. I like the books much better than the scanlations. *snerk* Dad asked me if it was some of 'my gay-themed stuff'. I said yes and he rolled his eyes, but he bought them for me anyway. He seems less weirded out now that he read the article in the Globe that confirmed I'm far from the only yaoi fangirl. There's an insurgence of us!
...Anyway. So I also cleaned my room, which is a good thing, since it had become a veritable whirlwind of shit that I'd not had the time nor energy to keep control of during the past week. I can see the floor now and it's very refreshing, though I have to go through my draws and pick out all of my brother's clothes that have accrued there over the past year. Bleh.
I'm also starting to understand the anxiety that accompanies college admissions and the SATs and stuff. Since I actually found a college I -want- to go to, and such. Pomona's very selective and so that means I'll have to do well on my SATs...it's funny, since I never much cared about them before. I hope they accept me with the stuff I'm studying, too. I'm going to work really hard, give it my best...and hope I can do it. It's actually nice to feel motivated again. ^-^ Though I should have taken teh SATs THIS weekend...oh well. The APsychology test is on Tuesday, though! Wuaha. Gonna pass. GONNA DO WELL. Right? RIGHT? Yea.
With the money from my May allowance I finally have enough money to buy a tablet. Going to bother dad about shopping for one online. SInce I'm pretty sure I want one more than an electric guitar. Mwee. Oh, and I thought of another thing I wanna do over the summer...
Visit the MFA...
Anyways. Gotta go do my homework...-___-
