That's strange since I used to update every day. It's just been so busy--and school is ending! Only two exams away; chemistry and French, though if I don't get more serious about studying, I may not pass the chemistry one. *slams head on desk and wills self to focus*

Which is why I'm wasting time updating livejournal, right? ^_^ Of course.

Anyway, today mom went to Burlington, and for the sake of procrastination, I went along. Apparently mom had left some pesticides in the backyard over the winter, and the bins that were containing them leaked...so now she has some binfuls of toxic liquid that she has to dispose of. So she voyaged out to Bed, Bath and Beyond in search of some disposable containers, without much luck. I, on the other hand, discovered one of those weird squishy/stretchy pillows on sale, so I bought a little pink one. It weirds out both my parents, and makes my brother smile. Squishy! ^__^

After searching various stores for some kind of container, mom went out to Tower Records to buy a CD that she had been looking for. As I was waiting for her, browsing through chord and tablature songbooks, a Dream Theater DVD caught my eye, and since I had enough money for it, it simply had to be mine. ^____^ It's their Live at Budokan DVD, and once I got home I watched a couple of songs worth. However...it's not really as amazingly fantastic as I had thought it would be. :\ There might be a couple of reasons for this--I'm thinking that the singer was turned up a little too much, so the intruments seemed less powerful (the solos, when there wasn't a vocalist, were incredible), but also, whenever I listen to Dream Theater I imagine this intense energy, and that the musicians must be jumping around and headbanging to expel some of it. It's rather the opposite, really. The guitarist and bassist, even when involved in the most convoluted solos imaginable, were standing perfectly still, with calm, stony expressions. Only their fingers were moving...which was a little disconcerting. It's still an amazing DVD that I'm sure I'll cherish forever, but those things are somewhat bothersome. *squeezes her new pink pillow and contemplates*

I'm so happy that school ends tomorrow. We also have a nihongo no kurasu tomorrow afternoon for the first time in WEEKS since it keeps getting cancelled. ;___; Carol and I are both in withdrawl and I should probably look over my notes since I can't at all remember the kanji that we learnt last class. @.@

Not really much else to report. I drew a picture a few days ago and based upon it I think I'm getting a little better at drawing the wrinkles in clothing, at least on shirts. I'm still bad at pants, though...and at arms without shirts on them. >_< I should probably work on those over the summer. I've also started drawing with pencil/colored pencil again, to the point where my tablet has been profoundly neglected. If anyone wants to borrow it for awhile, just ask me because I haven't been using it.

I should seriously go study now, if I want to pass chemistry. Which I do...and start vacation!! ...A vacation of about two days, since apparently I start work on Monday. XD Wheee!

Yeah, so I better do that... Good luck on your last finals, everyone! ^.^
