HAHAHAHAHA
Feb. 28th, 2008 01:52 pmOkay so today I woke up at 8.00 when my alarm clock rang, as it always does.
As I always do, I jumped down (to my chair that was pushed over more than normal so that I'd wake up a little bit extra and not sleep through my exam), and hit my snooze alarm. I was mostly awake cause of the weird chair position, so I remember this pretty clearly.
...The next thing I knew, I was rolling over and checking my watch.
It was 10.00. My Japanese midterm started at 9.15.
...Literally less than a minute later, I had somehow managed to get dressed and was running down the street towards the building where I have class. I showed up around 10.05, 15 minutes before the end of the period.
After frantically asking the teacher if I could at least start the exam, I realized that I didn't have a pencil.
My friend, my gorgeous, philanthropic, helpful, merciful friend Anthony Le lent me a random pen he had in his pocket. I could have kissed him, seriously.
Then I took off scribbling answers on the test, barely even thinking and being *so* thankful that it was the exam I could probably do in my sleep. I realized 5 minutes later there was actually an answer sheet, and so then started frantically RECOPYING my answers onto it.
By the time the period was up I had completed like 90% of the written exam, though I had missed the listening comprehension part. Luckily, the sensei was feeling benevolent, and magically I wasn't the only one who hadn't yet finished. She said we could follow her to her next class, which was conveniently located in the same building as my calculus class, which I was supposed to be going to at that time.
So I followed to her next class and finished the rest of the exam within a minute or two, and then ended up sitting around doing nothing for like twenty minutes (the ironic part) while waiting for her to give the listening section to the other class so I could complete that too.
After that, I was able to catch the last half hour or so of calculus.
Luck has been doing strange things to me lately. For example, SOMEONE FOUND MY NOTEBOOK AND IS GOING TO GIVE IT BACK TO ME OMG. ...But then I sleep through the first 45 minutes of a midterm exam? Uh. ANd then in human services, we got our midterms back, and I had been expecting like a 60 since half of my answers were guesses, but apparently they were all correct guesses because I got an 105, full with 5 points of extra credit. THere was one question I did get wrong, but apparently just about everyone else did, too, so she dropped it from counting.
...But at the same time, I'm probably NOT going to do as spectacularly well on my Japanese midterm as I was expecting since I completed the whole damn thing in pen in about 15 minutes flat while shaking from adrenaline and rush.
I can't really complain about the whole day as a whole, however, since it looks like the most dire consequence of my transgression was that I missed like 35 minutes of my calculus class.
My life is so strange.
