I fucking HATE going to the doctor. It reminds me too much of high school and illness--and everything associated with that time and mindset is something I'd very, very eagerly forget. That said, I have had TWO doctors appointments within the past two days. Yesterday, I had a checkup, and today I saw my gynecologist.
She was a really merciless one, too. Aside from the customary unpleasantries (two-word TMI: still sore), she decided she needed some blood for a hormoney-thing-test and so she sent me to the lab.
...I don't know what the HELL she was checking for, but apparently they need a lot of blood for it. The guy just kept taking vial after vial after vial...it was endless! The guy himself was gorgeous, though, which was nice. Unfortunately, he set off my gaydar, big time...but at least when he finished and I thanked him, he smiled really sweetly at me and told me to have a great rest of the day. ^^* D'awwe.

Anyway, due to my spacing out and the placement of the appointment in the day, I managed to not have a lunch break today. I decided, therefore, after having been released from the lab, that I would go get bubble tea using the money I hadn't spent on lunch. (Why yes, I am a pinnacle of healthy habits. :) ) I wanted to get it from Lady Siam, because I still hadn't tried their black milk tea flavor, and their taro is about the best I have ever had. So anyway, I decided to go to Harvard and take the 77, just for ease.

While I was at the station, waiting for the bus, this random man approached me and asked if I knew which stop he should get off for the post office. Since I was going all the way past the center, I told him I'd tell him which stop. THe bus came shortly afterwards, so he thanked me and proceeded to take the seat right next to mine.
Oh my god, he would not stop talking. It was ceaseless. If there are any Northeasties reading this: picture Jon Phoenix, only aged 15-20 years. And perhaps less sweaty, thankfully. But...honestly. He was actually a pretty interesting guy (he'd apparently just moved to Arlington 2 days ago after living his entire life in Israel?) and the conversation may have been cool had I been in a better mood. But as it was, he talked constantly, VERY loudly, and I couldn't seem to make myself say "Please please please shut up and leave me alone because there's a cavern 6 vials deep in my arm and my twat hurts like a bitch".
...It seemed somehow inappropriate. :\

But anyway, he FINALLY got off, and I finally got my bubble tea. On the way home, I walked by Bear's street and figured I might make myself a little surprise visit, but when nobody answered the door or the phone I realized he must be in Florida! Bear, how could you, after having not seen me in so many months? What a fucker, right? D: Srsly.
But then I got to walk the rest of the way home, which felt really good. I have realized I like getting places myself, when I can.

Speaking of which, I think I might bike to work tomorrow. It feels about time. I am so so so sick and tired of being helpless in the face of the unreliability of the T; I'm tired of sitting in the tunnel, motionless on the tracks, becoming late for work! This has happened more than once recently, and I've had enough. It's supposed to thunderstorm tomorrow, but I don't care, because I am also tired of groveling to Boston weather. Unless it's totally pouring at 7.45 tomorrow, I think I'm just gonna toss on a rain jacket and go for it. That is, assuming I can motivate my lazy ass out of bed. Wish me luck, I guess. 8D

PS. The milk tea boba I got was every bit as good as I'd been expecting. Arlingtonians, if you ever have a craving for bubble tea, definitely get it at Lady Siam! I doubt you'll be disappointed, and we have to patronize it so that it doesn't disappear. :
