Fridays and Ice Cream
Jul. 12th, 2008 12:23 amOmfg it's Friday. (or was, 10 minutes ago). I've survived yet another week, and I ache absolutely everywhere. I hope my spine will be more flexible tomorrow, if I even manage to get out of bed. But the most pressing issue is that my new shoes, while they had initially been cutting holes in my heels, are now causing bigger problems. The cuts have branched off on one side into my ankle, and I think the tendon got aggravated because my entire ankle swelled up. I put ice on it and it hurt so badly it almost made me sick...but I don't have any other shoes right now, so tomorrow I guess I'm gonna have to wear them again, and like...bandage my ankle up huge. Fun times.
It's all okay though, because this evening Giulia and EJ and I FINALLY all managed to meet up, a venture we'd been trying to schedule for...awhile now. Seeing them was SO GOOD. Especially EJ, since honestly? I don't think I've seen him more than once since we graduated. In '06. Yeah, whut. It's good to know that while I'm still the spastic, easily amused, and most philistineish of us, neither of the more sophisticated parties seem to mind. I is glad \o/ We spent a while hanging out in Starbucks, and then moved to the Chilly Cow and I got ice cream and there were people talking, though I was kind of sitting at a weird angle and outside the circle so I couldn't follow much. Still, it was fun. It was just great to see people.
We've decided that McCain solely and entirely responsible for my going to Arizona. So if you are one of those who are Not so Very Pleased by my leaving, be sure to exact your revenge by registering to vote if you haven't already, and voting against the culprit. Besides...he's older than the Rubiks Cube. Seriously.
