Earlier tonight, I was on the 88 bus, on my way home. I signaled my stop, and the driver totally ignored it--he dumped me out 5 blocks too far, in the pouring rain, at 11 at night. I got soaked, and couldn't contain my indignance. The man LOOKED AT ME. He did it on purpose. I have rarely been so angry. Arrrh.
I can't stop listening to this song:
It fills me with a weird sort of calm.
I hate fucking congressional delays affecting solar plant development in Arizona. I hate people who don't see global warming and alternative energy agendas as major campaign issues. I HATE dickweed bus drivers who ruin people's entire night.
On the bright side, I think I've found a replacement computer. It's the MSI Wind, really fucking lightweight, speedy little computer. Unfortunately the supply ran down and it won't be restocked until August. Hopefully there will be enough time for me to obtain one before I have to leave.
Less than a month til Tucson. I seriously can't believe it.

Date: 2008-07-23 06:20 am (UTC)This is the one area where I support umbrella use. /Not/ as a tool for protecting against the rain, but as a tool to smack dickweed bus drivers with when they ignore your stop.
Good luck with the computer buying. I've heard good things about the MSI Wind, though I approve of anything that's not the Macbook Air...
Old people know they're going to die, and they just laugh at the thought of taking the impure younger generation with them *evil old man laugh* (this is entirely based on Arizona having a large retired population. If basis is incorrect then):
What's with the congressional delays? I haven't heard anything about this, but Arizona seems like a great spot for a solar plant. Parts of it certainly don't seem to have a shortage of sun.

Date: 2008-07-23 02:45 pm (UTC)http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=92677182 is an amazing radio program that deals with it...it's kind of lengthy, but if you have some time, I'd definitely recommend listening to it, it really opened my eyes to some of the more aggravating roadblocks to alternative energy in the US.

Date: 2008-07-23 12:09 pm (UTC)This? Hm Never heard of them before. Looks good, but it's not fast (unless you're looking at a different model, that's the only one they had on newegg). 1.6ghz is pretty low end these days. Dual core processors is where its at. =)

Date: 2008-07-23 02:52 pm (UTC)It could have been Norwegian, I guess. Though I think if I linked to a song in a language I'm not working on, I'd probably note which language it actually was. Since everyone knows about me and Danish I didn't bother on this one. *shrugs*
