Earlier tonight, I was on the 88 bus, on my way home. I signaled my stop, and the driver totally ignored it--he dumped me out 5 blocks too far, in the pouring rain, at 11 at night. I got soaked, and couldn't contain my indignance. The man LOOKED AT ME. He did it on purpose. I have rarely been so angry. Arrrh.

I can't stop listening to this song:

It fills me with a weird sort of calm.

I hate fucking congressional delays affecting solar plant development in Arizona. I hate people who don't see global warming and alternative energy agendas as major campaign issues. I HATE dickweed bus drivers who ruin people's entire night.

On the bright side, I think I've found a replacement computer. It's the MSI Wind, really fucking lightweight, speedy little computer. Unfortunately the supply ran down and it won't be restocked until August. Hopefully there will be enough time for me to obtain one before I have to leave.

Less than a month til Tucson. I seriously can't believe it.

Neither can I.

Haha I know right? o.O; Do you possibly want to meet up at some point in the fall? I feel like we should like. Grab a cup of tea someplace and be all queer-animegeek-tastic together. Or something, if you're up to it.

That would be cool - we can boba-fy our drinks. =P

Haha yuss. I actually found a place that actually sells legit. bubble tea just on the edge of campus...but it seemed so sketch I don't know if I would actually want to get one there for fear of accidental poison o.o;

It will be an adventure - find good boba and not get food poisoning in the process.

*hug w/ towel*
This is the one area where I support umbrella use. /Not/ as a tool for protecting against the rain, but as a tool to smack dickweed bus drivers with when they ignore your stop.

Good luck with the computer buying. I've heard good things about the MSI Wind, though I approve of anything that's not the Macbook Air...

Old people know they're going to die, and they just laugh at the thought of taking the impure younger generation with them *evil old man laugh* (this is entirely based on Arizona having a large retired population. If basis is incorrect then):

What's with the congressional delays? I haven't heard anything about this, but Arizona seems like a great spot for a solar plant. Parts of it certainly don't seem to have a shortage of sun.

Yeah, apparently there's already been a huge solar-plant business deal and they're just waiting for the legislatures to pass judgment on how and whether they're going to subsidize.

http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=92677182 is an amazing radio program that deals with it...it's kind of lengthy, but if you have some time, I'd definitely recommend listening to it, it really opened my eyes to some of the more aggravating roadblocks to alternative energy in the US.

This? Hm Never heard of them before. Looks good, but it's not fast (unless you're looking at a different model, that's the only one they had on newegg). 1.6ghz is pretty low end these days. Dual core processors is where its at. =)

Yeah :) Though to be honest my only priorities in getting a computer at this time are price and lightweightness. So I'm willing to overlook vast inadequacies in specs for the fact that it's so amazingly light. It also doesn't take anything that impressive to completely outshine the computer I'm currently using, so I'm pretty satisfied with it as a find. :X

But yes, the link does correspond to the correct model.

Hahah well if it's better than what you're using now, or used before, then hey! That's great. Also, good price. If you can live with it, well then, good hehe. I'm a very impatient person, so I can't handle working on computers that are less than a 2.2ghz dual core processor, and 2 gb of ram (what my desktop has).

So it has XP? Awesome. Can't get new computers with XP anymore. =(

Is this song in Danish? If not...what...language? I heard 'sommer', so I presume something Germanic, and you speak Danish, so I further presumed Danish. And...Dutch doesn't sound like this.
Ok so I've pretty much narrowed it down on my own. Thanks anyway o.o

Haha yes it is in Danish. The word is actually sommerfugle--butterflies. I think the line is Jeg har sommerfugle i maven, I have butterflies in my stomach. Yay happy lil sappy songs? :3 Ehehe.

It could have been Norwegian, I guess. Though I think if I linked to a song in a language I'm not working on, I'd probably note which language it actually was. Since everyone knows about me and Danish I didn't bother on this one. *shrugs*
